A) I find myself wanting to teach in a third grade classroom and not because I had such a wonderful third grade teach. In fact, my third grade teacher was horrendous. She seemed as though she hated life and children most of all. So, I want to right her wrongs.
B) I truly enjoy Language Arts. In general, a lot is said about a person by how they are grammatically, or how well spoken they are. Opening our minds to language enables us to dig deep into ourselves to speak and write more eloquently. My least favorite is Math but, I hope to overcome my pitfalls and mask my fears.
C) It is my philosophy that if I have a tool or skill that can help another, it is my duty to help. Sure I want to help children learn their academics but, want I know I will challenge myself to do is to give my students to knowledge, tools, skills, and confidence to strive for excellence in whatever they choose. Teaching, next to parenting, is the most important job anyone will ever have. I know I can make a difference in some children's lives.
